Care is our foundation—embracing healthcare, self-care, and community care. As California’s only ticketed event requiring STI testing for all guests, we are redefining the culture of play parties by normalizing testing and prioritizing people knowing their status. We foster a space where safety, respect, and pleasure are met with care.

Consent isn't a tool to get what we want, it is how we take care of each other. We emphasize enthusiastic consent, celebrating "No" as much as "Yes," and encourage guests to share their D.I.B.S.: Desires, Intentions, Boundaries, and Sexuality for transparent communication and consensual interactions.

The purpose of The Play is connection—authentic, meaningful, and multifaceted. We create a space that fosters emotional, intellectual, creative, and sensual bonds, empowering individuals to connect beyond the physical. At The Play kindness is the currency and connection is the treasure.

We host The Play at stunning venues ranging from mansions in Bel Air, the Hollywood Hills, Topanga, and Malibu to a penthouse in DTLA, with events accommodating anywhere from 60 to 200 guests. Other events, sex positive workshops, socials , and the like are hosted at LA’s premier social clubs and private venues/residences.

Yes, we are available to host private events for groups of friends, play tribes, couples, or individuals, curated on a case-by-case basis. Please email concierge@theplay.la for rates and more information.

Various contraceptives, lubricants, wet wipes, and other wellness products are provided. We encourage all of our guests to use protection.

Yes, you can leave whenever you would like. We simply ask that you notify the check-in host to assist you in gathering your belongings and make your exit as inconspicuous as possible if it is during a performance. We do not allow re-entry.

A designated outdoor smoking area is available at all venues. We provide an open bar with top-shelf spirits, but guests are welcome to bring their preferred beverages. Over-intoxication is not tolerated to ensure a safe and respectful space for all. Please honor your limits and act responsibly so everyone can enjoy safely.

Each event features a unique theme, so be sure to check the dress code for the evening. When in doubt, your sexiest all-black attire is always a safe choice. Feel free to bring multiple outfits or anything that helps you feel your best and most confident.

At The Play, you don't "have to" do anything. Only guests who previously request and schedule a performance will have an allotted time to take the stage. To support the collaborative essence of our community, all couples, groups, and individuals who would like to perform at The Play take priority in ticket sales over guests who do not wish to perform. Guests may interact with the performance/art with the consent of the artist(s).
